Overview

Introduction
    Learning about dinosaurs and how they lived is a topic that most children find interesting and intriguing.  This Webquest allows you to delve into the dinosaur's way of life and the theories about their extinction.  You will also develop your logical thinking skills and creative thinking skills with these learning activities. 

Tasks

Fill in the Dino Info
-Use the following website to gain information about dinosaurs:

-Then, using the word bank and context clues decide which word best fits in the blank.

Dinosaurs Logic Puzzles

-Use the clues to match up each child with his or her favorite dinosaur.
-Read each clue very closely to discover what information you can gain from it.
-Also use information from this website about dinosaurs to help you:

-Then, mark an "X" in the box that you now know is not a possibility.
    -Example:  if Amy does not like the T. Rex, find where Amy and T. Rex meet up on the grid and write
     an "X" in that box.
-When you have found a match, write an "O" in the box where the two matches meet up.
-Remember that each child only likes one dinosaur.

The Name-O-Saurus

-Use your first name to create a new dinosaur name.
-Draw a picture of this new dinosaur.
-Write a description of it and be sure to tell about:  its size, what it looks like, eats, and likes to do.
-Example:  The Jacob-Osaurus - The Jacob-Osaurus is the size of a mini-van and is purple with green horns on its back.  It eats sunflower seeds and chews bubble gum.  It loves to play baseball.
